FAAN — Ecosystem Intelligence & Passenger Access
Two platforms for the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria: a directorate command centre and a live passenger access product.

Two platforms for one mandate. Soullar EPI gives FAAN's Directorate of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection a single command surface over the units that meet the passenger. FAAN Access Hub is the passenger-facing product those units deliver through — live, and tracking every booking.
1 · The mandate
FAAN is accountable for the passenger experience across a 22-airport estate. Three units inside the Directorate of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection carry that accountability daily: SERVICOM handles consumer protection and complaints, Public Affairs & Media Relations handles reputation and inquiry response, and Protocol and Passages handles VIP movement, holding points and paid protocol services. Each unit had activity. None of them had a common instrument that turned that activity into evidence a Director could stand behind, station by station, in the same week it happened.
The second half of the mandate is commercial. Protocol services, guided tours and terminal commerce are revenue lines and service promises at once — and they were being transacted through channels that produced no reliable record of demand, delivery or satisfaction.
2 · The read
The diagnosis was not a missing dashboard. It was that reporting and doing had been separated. Unit officers worked in notebooks, WhatsApp threads and spreadsheets; reporting was assembled afterwards, upward, at month end — by which point it described a memory rather than an operation. Any dashboard bolted on top of that would inherit the same lag and the same optimism.
So the instrument had to be the workplace. If the officer resolves a complaint inside the platform, the resolution rate is a by-product, not a submission. That single decision set the architecture of both products.
If the reporting layer is separate from the working layer, you are not measuring operations. You are collecting opinions about operations.
The second read was about weight. A 22-airport estate is not a flat average: MMIA Lagos and NAIA Abuja carry the passenger volume, the media exposure and the political attention. A national score that treats a regional strip and a primary international gateway equally is a comfortable number and a useless one. So the airport registry is tiered and volume-weighted, and unit contribution is weighted too — consumer protection carries the most, because that is where the passenger actually feels the Authority.
3 · The design
Soullar EPI — Ecosystem & Policy Intelligence. "Ecosystem" because it reads the whole estate rather than one terminal: 22 airports, tiered, benchmarked against ICAO reference standards and rolled into strategic pillars. "Policy" because the output is decision-grade — where a Director must intervene this week, which station is drifting, which action plan is off track, and what the evidence is. Three layers: a Director's Command Centre for the national view, a unit view for each head, and a task platform for the officer doing the work. Alerts, 30-day trends, an airport heatmap and consolidated PDF export sit on top, so the reporting obligation is satisfied from the same data the work produced.
FAAN Access Hub. The passenger and corporate front door. Five account types — individual traveller, corporate organisation, school or institution, aviation professional, tourist — each landing on a dashboard shaped to what they actually do. Meet & Greet protocol booking with officer matching, QR-verified confirmation and digital indemnity capture. Airport Guided Tours against real tour slots. Wayfinding & Marketplace over a mapped terminal graph. Tiered memberships. For corporates: employee invite codes, a funded wallet, and employee bookings that wait in `pending approval` until an administrator approves or rejects — with the confirmation email fired either way.
One brief, one team, one outcome: the same team specified the KPI model, designed the officer's screen and wrote the passenger-facing offer. The commercial argument for the Access Hub and the measurement model inside EPI were written in the same room, which is why the two products report on the same reality instead of two versions of it.
4 · In the product
The interfaces below are the delivered builds — the EPI screens are populated with pilot demonstration data, not live FAAN records.
5 · The position today
FAAN Access Hub is live and tracking — bookings, protocol-officer matching, the airport walkthrough and the corporate approval flow are all in operation, and every transaction is recorded against the service it delivered.
Soullar EPI is pilot-ready with the Directorate of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, who are exploring the platform ahead of publication. The prototype is complete across all three units and the national command view; we are not publishing performance figures for a system that is not yet in production, and there are none to publish honestly.
What FAAN gets from the pair: a Director who can see the estate weighted the way the estate actually matters; unit heads whose numbers are produced by their own team's work; officers with a task tool instead of a reporting chore; a consumer-protection record that survives scrutiny; and a commercial channel where protocol, tours and terminal services are booked, matched, delivered and counted in one place.
What Label Brandspace held
Product strategy, engineering, service and interface design, the KPI and weighting model, and the go-to-market position for both platforms. Delivered as one integrated team across product, brand and growth — with the distribution argument written before the first sprint, not after the demo.

Measuring What the Passenger Feels
The directorate surface: one command centre over three customer-facing units, with a task platform behind each so the KPI data is generated by the work rather than reported after it.

The passenger-facing side of the same mandate: the services the directorate is accountable for, sold and delivered through a product that records every interaction.
